Jessica Quan

Jessica was born in Baden-Baden, Germany and grew up in Vancouver, BC. As a third generation Chinese-Japanese Canadian, Jessica’s Chinese side of the family have strong ties to Victoria’s history in Chinatown and are part of an exhibit at the Royal British Columbia Museum in Victoria, BC. Her Japanese half is rooted in the Japanese-Canadian community of Steveston, Richmond who were interned in the interior of BC during WWII. After studying English Literature, Education and Art History at UBC, Jessica taught English in Japan and lived in London, UK. She returned to Vancouver 3 years ago and became involved with the Heritage Vancouver Society. Jessica currently works at the Vancouver Heritage Foundation and she also volunteers with the Vancouver Children’s Choir and studies flamenco dance in Vancouver. Jessica lives in the West End and loves walking the streets, alleys, parks and hidden corners of the city!
