Gung Hay Fat Choy & Happy Birthday! The Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden Turns 25!

Happy Chinese New Year! What better way to celebrate than taking a stroll through the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden with its beautiful and traditional red lanterns.

If you happened to miss a red-lighted stroll through the Garden, don’t worry because the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden has another reason to celebrate this year… it’s 25th birthday!

Walking Home Projects has been in partnership with the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden for its Walking Home Carrall Street project and currently with our Walking Home Pender Street project.  The Garden has numerous community partnerships and with the Year of the Rabbit on our side, we lucked out to be one of them.

The Garden is much more than a place of scholarly Ming Dynasty tranquility and balance – it’s also a place of parties.  The Garden’s birthday year event line-up is not to be missed.  Not only because the events are engaging and great but because they take place in a beautiful setting!  It’s an experience very special to Vancouver.  And one Walking Home Projects feels very lucky to be a part of.

You can sign up to the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden’s e-newsletter, Facebook page or follow the Garden on Twitter for the latest updates
